Finding the perfect fit is essential for showcasing your favorite medieval, Renaissance, or cosplay attire. At Astricos, we provide detailed size charts and measuring guidelines to help you select the ideal size for a flawless, comfortable look. Follow our step-by-step instructions below to measure accurately.
How to Measure Your Body
To ensure the best fit for our specialty costumes, please measure over lightweight clothing using a flexible tape measure:
- Height: Stand straight with your feet together and measure from the top of your head to the floor.
- Bust/Chest: Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust or chest. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
- Waist: Measure the narrowest part of your waistline, usually just above your belly button.
- Hips: Stand with your feet together and measure around the widest part of your hips.
- Shoulder Width: Measure across the back from the outer edge of one shoulder joint to the other.
Pro Tip: Keep the tape parallel to the floor at all times. If possible, ask a friend to assist you for maximum precision.

Measurement Tips & Recommendations
- Between Sizes? If your measurements fall between two sizes, we recommend selecting the larger size for greater comfort and ease of movement during events.
- Garment Tolerance: Due to manual cutting and the intricate craftsmanship of historical costumes, please allow for a minor tolerance of 1 - 3 cm (0.4 - 1.2 inches).
- Corsets & Fitted Dresses: For structured items such as laced corsets or fitted gowns, prioritize your waist and bust measurements over height.
